Hello Friends: There's a particular kind of suffering in not yet knowing who you're becoming. The property that I've been negotiating for in Dripping Springs for Soil to Soul Commons continues to be on hold and out of my control. I have notified my realtor that if we don't hear anything by tomorrow, we'll begin a new search, having learned so much about letters of intent, permitting, and lease negotiations. This has been challenging for me on so many levels as an impatient workaholic, who tends to muscle my way through obstacles. Since deciding to build differently this time, I am reminded of divine timing and efforting with an open palm. And while I've been waiting, I continue to visit farmers markets, support other farms stops opening around the country (yay Radish!), work on our infrastructure (wiki, job descriptions, SOPs), and make sure we are properly registered with SAM.gov and Grants.gov for funding we uniquely qualify for. I'm trying not to lose momentum. But I'm losing motivation. And immersed in resistance. This "fallow" period exacerbates the feeling of existential dread. Dreams have been vivid, synchronicities serve as my GPS, and I am relying on my intuition more than my logical, problem-solving proclivity. There are a few things that have kept me sane and renewed daily. They are sky, cycle, and storytelling things I teach my clients, who are building their own mission-driven opus. In case you are going through your own metamorphosis and are feeling lost in the mist of an unclear identity or goal, I hope this gives you some insight and tools to light the way. Chiron Completes Its Time in AriesWhen a planet is in the 29th degree of a sign, it is exhausted but feels the urgency to complete its mission and lessons there. Chiron has been in Aries, ruler of the 1st house, which represents wounding around our identity, personality, purpose, and unapologetic way of being. The wounds include deep feelings of inadequacy, self-doubt, or the belief that you must fight to justify your existence. Chiron teaches that instead of constantly proving your independence or suppressing your anger, this degree asks you to claim your personal power. You have the right to take up space and share your unique voice and gifts. When it moves into Taurus, which rules the 2nd house, the healing continues from the ego into the physical world. Here we may feel insecurity around material possessions, self-worth, and the physical body. Perhaps scarcity mindset and feeling unlovable unless we are useful or productive, or even the fear of losing resources or comfort will become prominent. Chiron here will teach about over-functioning for love and belonging and unlinking your self-esteem from your bank account or physical appearance. Taurus is ruled by Venus, which embodies beauty, rest, receiving, and abundance. Chiron has been in Aries for over 8 years and will enter Taurus in a series of back-and-forth moments:
For those of us mid-project, mid-identity, mid-anything, this explains a lot. Depending on the transits and placements in your natal chart, it will affect each of us differently in intensity and life themes. My friend Shail and I had the good fortune to see Alok Vaid-Menon's performance at the Paramount Theatre. With vulnerable and irreverent humor he gives voice to those who have been devalued, dehumanized, blamed, and persecuted for being who they are. Some of my favorite, mic-drop quotes from the evening are here. I am forever changed and moved by how one person can impact so many. By himself. On a brightly lit stage. In a state that is actively stripping away the rights and dignity of non-binary people. Alok is the highest expression of Chiron in Aries. Jupiter Enters Leo While the Nodes ShiftAt the end of June, Jupiter, which as been in Cancer for the past year, will move into fun-loving, playful, attention-grabbing Leo. Playing it small becomes difficult. Jupiter encourages you to reclaim joy, express your unique voice, and let your passions take the spotlight. It is an expansive time for art, entertainment, and personal branding, urging us to view life more playfully and creatively. Jupiter’s opposition to Pluto in Aquarius might spark power struggles with elitism, challenging who and what we put on pedestals in favor of grassroots equality and true merit.
Because the South Node enters Leo less than a month after Jupiter does, they will transit the same sign simultaneously. While Jupiter expands your desires for visibility and joy, the South Node asks you to release ego-driven validation and a need for constant applause. It's a balancing act. The North Node is in Aquarius and encourages us to focus on community innovation, collaboration, and visionary contributions. This is the pre-show to the upcoming eclipse season in August. Eclipses occur where the Moon’s orbit intersects the lunar nodes; when the nodes shift signs, the eclipse cycles shift with them. On August 12, 2026, a monumental Total Solar Eclipse lands at 20° Leo. Stay tuned... Individuation and Depth PsychologyI continue to study the healing modalities of narrative therapy which includes finding ourselves in the archetypes of mythology and fairy tales, and Jungian and Modern Depth Psychology. I am integrating these principles into astrology, Tarot, yoga, dream work, art, storytelling, and more. Sometimes this work brings me to the edge of sanity because of all the ways the unconscious can now make itself known. Individuation is the lifelong process of becoming our true, unique self by integrating our conscious mind with our unconscious mind. It is the psychological journey of discovering who we are, independent of societal expectations, peer pressure, or family conditioning. Carl Jung stated that a person must integrate different parts of their psyche:
The goal of individuation is wholeness. It shifts your psychological center from the Ego (your limited conscious identity) to the Self (your complete, unified psyche). So that you can experience this firsthand, I am offering a promotional one-hour session for only $50. Only 10 of them because of my limited schedule this summer. Try one if you're curious or are wanting deeper, more healing insights into a conundrum.
Stuff You Might LikeI have been searching for property for Soil to Soul Commons. The Arnosky Flower Farm is for sale. They are the suppliers to HEB and other retailers, but are best known for their Big Blue Barn, where they sell their bouquets and plants on an honor system. Frank and Pamela have poured their heart and soul into this 60-acre farm in Wimberley, TX and are looking for the right stewards. I have been researching and considering this land for several weeks. The soil is rich and the land feels magical. Peonies are coming!! Enchantment: Awakening Wonder in an Anxious Age by Katherine May (also the author of Wintering) has been on my speakers as I drive and walk. The writing feels like relief in its storytelling and observances with language that is poetic and delightful. Eric Ries has launched his new book Incorruptible: Why Good Companies Go Bad and How Great Companies Stay Great. Steve Blank and Seth Godin are praising and promoting it. For my entrepreneurs and mentees, this is a blueprint for how to make the right long-term decisions and helps me in my own quest to build differently this time. David Epstein's new book, Inside the Box: How Constraints Make Us Better highlights interesting stories of how limits and discipline can help us actually feel more free and creative. For someone who often struggles with decision fatigue and unstructured days, this has been so helpful. If you don't have time to read, his Big Think interview titled: "Discipline Sets Creativity Free" is fantastic. AllDay Pizza slices. Get the Stracciatella! Although I have drastically improved my diet with more protein, fiber, and veggies, with less sugar and carbs, some days, a bit of old-school pleasure hits the spot in moderation. Happy Pride Month! 🌈 ❤️ ✨ 👯♂️Thank you for allowing me into your reading space. I know your time and attention are valuable. I'd love to know what you've been up to. What lights you up and eases you into deep sleep at night. So many in my community are doing great things. I'd like to feature your thang if you let me know what's meaningful to share. Hello Friends: My last newsletter was back in February, before my retreat in the UK to study with my teacher Dr. Sharon Blackie, before I considered a vineyard for Soil to Soul Commons, and before Gabe graduated from the University of Michigan this past weekend. Gabe Graduates from the University of Michigan on May 4, 2026 It has been difficult finding the words. The more I wanted to write about my experiences, the more my body resisted. Symbols, stories, movements, dreams, and sounds became...

Hello Friends: Blessed Aquarius Season. The time I've been side-eyeing since I took on my internal gutting out in order to steward an idea with integrity. I'm going to talk about two heroine stories, which describes this past week of the personal planets traveling through Pluto, the planet of death, rebirth, transformation, power, reckoning, and initiation. Mars will be passing over Pluto this coming week to complete the story. Stay tuned. First, let's look at the sky as it was. As above, so...
